Clean, bright and unmistakably Kenyan. This fully washed AA lot from Gititu Factory in Kiambu shows high clarity and citrus-led sweetness: rhubarb and pink grapefruit up front, finishing like lemonade. Roasted light for filter, it’s crisp, refreshing and reliable across batch brew and hand-brews.

Established in 1954, Gititu Factory works with smallholder farmers on the Aberdare slopes at 1,600–1,700 m.a.s.l. Ripe cherries are selectively handpicked, carefully sorted, pulped and fermented for 12–24 hours, then washed and dried slowly on raised beds. The result is a clean, consistent cup that’s easy to dial in during busy service.

Classic Kenyan varieties—SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian—drive the structure and lively acidity, with sweetness that holds as the cup cools. Expect precise, repeatable brews with a standout seasonal Kenyan profile.
