Aguilera Brothers — San Roque, Costa Rica
Light-roasted for espresso, this West Valley yellow honey process is clean, sweet, and fruit-forward. Expect toffee-toned sweetness with baked-pear depth and a bright, star-fruit lift, delivering juicy, balanced shots across service.
Grown in Los Robles de Naranjo by the Aguilera family—twelve siblings and Cup of Excellence winners—this lot is processed and dried at their own micromill for full control from cherry to export. Careful selection and slow natural drying bring clarity and a long, syrupy finish.
The San Roque variety, related to SL-28, adds crisp acidity and defined fruit character while maintaining excellent solubility for consistent extractions. It holds its shape in milk, reading as toffee and ripe pear, and shines as a straight espresso or long black.
Reliable, high-clarity espresso for busy bars, with enough character to stand out on a seasonal menu.
