A bright, fruit-forward espresso from Kiambu County, processed at the Ndundu Factory. Classic Kenyan SL28 and SL34 varieties, fully washed and lightly roasted for espresso, deliver clear pomegranate and raspberry notes with a clean orange finish.
Ndundu’s approach prioritises quality and traceability. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness and delivered the same day. They’re rigorously sorted in flotation tanks, with underripes and damaged fruit rejected. A dedicated clerk records deliveries to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Processing follows a meticulous washed method: pulping, then fermentation in concrete tanks for 12–24 hours (temperature dependent), followed by thorough washing and grading. During peak harvest, parchment may be soaked in clean, circulating water for up to 24 hours before drying on raised beds for 5–21 days. Frequent turning and midday covers protect quality and promote even drying.
The result is a clean, structured cup with lively acidity and precise sweetness—reliable and expressive on bar.
